Histogram() Function In Impala

Is there histogram functionality available in Impala? I can't find any
mention of it in the docs, but I've seen things like this
that seem to indicate histograms have been added. It looks like Wes is
computing histograms manually with Ibis, so that is confusing as well.

Hi Tim,
There is no built in general purpose histogram function. The commit that
you linked to may be useful for some specific cases, but was meant for
internal purposes and has some big limitations: (a) always the same number
of equi-width buckets, (b) buckets are returned as a single comma-delimited
string.
Hopefully Wes can speak to the Ibis functionality.
Best,
Matt
