[mongodb-user] Large Replicated GridFs Database Good Idea?

I need some clarification. I have a large GridFS Database around 400 gigs.
I have it setup in replication on 2 different servers with an arbitor on
another server. Is running this type of setup a good idea or will it cause
major issues down the way. I currently have have issues where I am having
a hard time replicating a new server and its frustrating without it
crashing the whole replica set. I only have this issue when I spin up the
new replica set.
At what point is too much data in which sharding should implemented or is
100s of gigs of data ok without sharding?
Thanks.
