When the recrawl is being done, the app server requires a restart to get the
new indexes reflected.
If the folder where the recrawl must be done is pointed by the web app, a
folder named merge-output is created inside the index folder once the
recrawl is completed.

something stronger than .htaccess to protect it and ssl is not
available as this is a shared host. There will be several user's
accessing this app and updating the database through it. What i was
thinking was giving each a unique username, password, and ID string,
which would be somehow used to compute a hash and if that

I have a simple question...
I get the Production deployment detailed here�https://github.com/playframework/Play20/wiki/Production and I followed that to run my project on a server (dev for now). I have a CentOS 5 server and if I start the "$ target/start" script as soon as I Ctrl-Z it puts it in the background and it the process is hanging.
If I run it with "$ target/start &" I noticed
I'm updating an app to the latest API.
What could possibly cause this error?

I have an app based on necessitas which in some cases does not update the
screen. When touching the screen I can see that my app is responding but
the screen is not changing and appears to be stuck. This is difficult to
reproduce but happens every once in a while. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My K9 app on android is able to update my Yahoo e-mail addresses when I
open the app; but it doesn't sync in background at all. I have it set to
poll every 15 minutes and it shows the correct time remaining for the next
poll when I have the app open. But still no syncing in background. Thanks.

I use mysql-connector-java-2.0.14-bin.jar and the parameters listed at the
end of the mail in my tomcat server.xml. If I access the application after
the server was not called for some hours, I receive "java.sql.SQLException:
Communication link failure: java.io.IOException". I use autoReconnect=true.
Maybe some of the other parameters are wrong.
