Hi folks,
I got a notification from the Acapela app regarding a beta for version 6.
My understanding is that in order to get this, one needs to send them an
email.
Has anyone tried it, and if so, does it sound better than what it is now?

Hi,
for me the main difference is that most emogi's are now spoken in my
language as well. All voices have been updated, but I hear no quality
improvement with my default voice, however I am happy with the current
quality of the voice I use, so the only quality improvement I would hope
for is some dictionary issues (I mean words pronounced the wrong way).
With kind regards,
Henk.

Hi Hank,
How does one go about getting the beta?
Sending them a message via the app or using the email contact from the Play Store?

You have to send an email to them asking to be put on the beta team. I've
still, nothing seems to have changed, and the "what's new" section on
Google play doesn't say much.

Hi warren,
just send a message to will add you to a playstore beta group, after which you can
betatest like the other beta's we know.
I asked them what was new and got the folowing reply:
The main thing is to check that all is working, as every new major
version we update both the engine and the voices
And try to improve stability/reactivity for the engine and quality for
the voices.
Beside that what we added is
- a volume option to increase audio volume perception if needed (in the
settings menu)
- the possibility to import/export dico in Google Drive
And some new voices and emojis support for most of the languages
- new voices : German ClaudiaSmile, French Anais
- new kids voices : French Elise/Valentin, Norwegian Elias/Emilie,
Swedish Filip/Freja,
With kind regards,
Henk. (by the way, my name is with an 'e', not an 'a'.)

And for those in Beta especially in other languages aside English, does
it read Imogens as well in for instance using the Spanish voices?

Good morning carriage return carriage return what I know this, the
text-to-speech engine acapella is very responsive, when I installed my
update there are a few text to speech individual engine updates we have
voices that needed to be done. Currently have Heather and Tracy I looked at
a few others but when I can afford it I'll buy them. What I can say, is
just wow I don't know what else to say. This is become the text-to-speech
engine all use daily for now on unless something funny happens. Regards Dan
