Hi,
I want to stop hive commands from generating the hive job file (under
/tmp/user/hive_log_job*) for every query, as we run multiple queries in
batch and the file is getting really big. (1GB+)
what would be the best way to do it?
Thanks in advance,
g

Set value of "hive.querylog.location" to empty string in hive-site.xml.

Thanks for your suggestion Navis. However, this did not have any effect.
changing the location to another directory works. Is there any other way?
I should mention I am using hive 0.90. I noticed a few fixes around
configuration in hive 0.10.
